....What, that isn't "real" music? All right, fine. Here's a lovely tune I listened to a few times while coloring this. [link]
No, I don't think I'll give him the Metroid Revival treatment (though Mega Man Revival does sound pretty badass) because I just don't think I have the time to juggle that with other stories. Still, I didn't think uploading this could hurt.
This design is a mix of Mega Man X (from MMX, of course) and Mega Man Volnutt/Trigger from Mega Man Legends, to make something classic yet stocky and not too, TOO crazy.
I know Mega Man armor doesn't tend to be very.... practical, looking more like a skimpy skinsuit with only a few parts of the body covered by actual playing (Volnutt being an exception)... but I did try to make something of a compromise here, by making the chestpiece and codpiece so bulky that they almost completely cover his torso, so he at least appears SOMEWHAT armored.
Something long time fans of mine may notice about this design is that.... well, it's basically a lightly remolded version of the suit Hugh wore in the first Pseudo Sapien story. Yeah, a lot of designs in that comic were inspired by the various art styles of the Mega Man games.
Gave him reddish hair because I saw some fanart of Neige as Model X and I liked the contrast between the hair and the blue of the suit.

Megaman in itself needs some kinda reboot. I mean I love megaman, but i do feel like the spin offs were both a blessing and a curse on the series. (in more ways than one) And really you can't just stick to classic megaman forever. Especially since at SOME POINT it has to end anyway. i mean, the X series had to happen some how.
really it'd either be inbetween or after the legends games (as you pointed out in one of your videos) or just be it's own thing entirely. Either way megaman needs something fresh and new. Plus i'd be down for a game that's basically like the megaman X/zero/ZX games gameplay wise, or just a full 3d megaman game... but that last part would be hard to pull off JUST BECAUSE a lot of people think megaman only works in 2d... which is dumb. really dumb.(if mario can pull it off. so can megaman)
