I am Remus

This may be the most poignant piece I've ever uploaded since Silver Scales began. I just... you have to think about this guy's history, you know? Even after we find out about his upbringing and the reason why he left his homeworld, you see that, well, he's clearly made it to Felarya! So whatever he had to go through in the years prior to his arrival, it doesn't really matter to us much because he seems to have come out of it just fine.

But in spite of his spirited demeanor, his "What the heck, let's go," attitude and the way he talks and carries himself in that story, you've gotta keep in mind that... this guy's had a really, REEEEALLY sucky life. Not just his origin story, but the 20+ years between that and his arrival in Felarya spent drifting from world to world in his seemingly futile search for his special someone.

And right now, with this glimpse of his younger (but still pretty sickly and haggard) face, we finally see, as plainly as can be, just how miserable he really was. I mean... this was a very low point in his life, and there's a lot of things that can be connected to this. His compassion for tinies like Meringue, his connecting with Xanthe right from the moment he met her... I just wanted to give you guys a peak at who this guy is, underneath, and show him being this vulnerable, if only for a moment, you know?

Anyway, that's enough out of me.

Some of you may not know me, but some of you do (hey guys, missed you). I've been away for a while, but I want to involve myself with the community more, so here I am. I'll be making more stories in the future, but I can make time for commissions on the side.
Okay, so... let's talk price.
$5 for a simple bust shot.  
$10 for a full body shot. (I know this isn't the best example, since you don't actually see her entire body)
+$5 for each secondary character that appears, full body or not. In fact, here's the first Felarya-related commission I've completed so far. Whipped it up yesterday for :iconDaren-Blackfang:
+$5 for a background and scenery.
$20 for a comic strip, with an additional $10 for each following page.
