A couple of years ago, there was a big storm here that wiped out power in the entire state for upward of a week, and in its wake was crisp, dry air. Being up at early o'clock, I got to go outside and actually see the colors of the Milky Way with my own eyes for possibly the first time in my life. It was incredible.
