Rise of The Devilman- 49- New day

I was very careful with Akira's choice of words. So many other people would've just made him say "He's an orphan, TOO," or something, which... to me, just sounds reeeeally manipulative and unnecessary. I don't want Akira to wear his grief on his sleeves and make everyone around him feel bad to get himself out of trouble.

Either way, at least he was honest with them... mostly.

And yeah, they're having scrambled eggs in Japan. Why not?

On another note, this is another one of those cases where I put two pages together (well, more like a page and 2/3 of another one) because they worked better as one scene. I don't think I'll be doing this a lot... but in any case, while this only counts as one upload for the day, it's still a hefty chunk of content in one sitting.

Anyway, we'll see how they spend Akira's last day... tomorrow.
