Rise of The Devilman- 75- Animal allure

"I admit, the OVAs and even the original Manga had a bit of a "fuck humanity" vibe at times, what with Go Nagai's sometimes overbearing critiquing of our species... but I don't think he often went that overboard. You've gotta admit, we are a pretty messed up species."

That fuck humanity vibe in the manga is definitely there, but that's sort of the point of what the story was going for as an anti war story (it's points are really on the nose though when considering how the dialogue is written). If shit hits the fan, there's no doubt some people would act like a bunch of psychos, but I think most people are good... it's just that life makes people commit questionable decisions. Then again there is no big bad or malicious force or something for humanity to rally behind or threaten our existence in the real world aside from a rogue meteorite.
