Yeah... this is a scene I've been looking forward to putting to paper for a LONG time. The whole thing was such fun for me, seeing how these characters bounce off each other.
This is also a chance for me to bring up that I HATE the tired cliche of the love triangle... or, rather, the main love interest suspecting that there may BE a love triangle forming, and feeling threatened by the new female presence suddenly introduced. Right off the bat, the former feels like she needs to be super competitive to secure her position and drams ensue.
And yeah, admit it... there are more than a few writers out there who would've gone down that path in a heartbeat and ruined the story.
Well, I wanted to avoid that trope altogether for the sake of the reader's enjoyment. So as you can see, Miki isn't bothered at all by the Devil Lady stripping down in front of her and her boyfriend, because she isn't insecure about herself, and she's grown up and open minded an' all that stuff. Heck, she's borderline fangirling over Jun.
Yeah...
