This is the first part of a series of journals I'll be writing that detail how this series would've gone before I gave up on it. I'm going to write several, with an outline of the plot I had in mind.

So after chapter 5, the last one I completed, the gang heads to Aquas, where Falco plans on ditching Marcus and Fay with Slippy and his family so they'll be safe while he and Kat investigate whatever's going on. Still, he sticks around for a day or so to catch up with Slippy before leaving. Marcus is indignant about losing the only father he's ever had, but he gets along well with Slippy's many kids, though he spends the most time with one of them, a youth set to join the Cornerian fleet. He's the orange-skinned one with the cowboy hat we see in one of Star Fox Command's endings. I still have not come up with a name for him. As a pilot, I'd imagine he'd be more like Fox than Slippy. He'd be the one getting his wingmates out of trouble, instead of it being the other way around.

In this chapter, which would probably be a 2-parter, we learn when Slippy has a bit of a breakdown during a heart to heart with Falco about just what happened to Fox. See, I basically took a bunch of things from Command's various endings and smooshed them together for this story. So yes, Fox and Falco went through a bit of a phase where they had their Arwings converted into racing machines and joined the racing circuit for a while, to rest Fox's troubled mind after Krystal left him. Heck, Slippy even caught up with them and worked as their mechanic for a while, performing maintenance on their Arwings after each race. We then learn that... something went wrong during one of the races, resulting in a terrible crash where Fox... died. Or disappeared, rather. It was a helluva wreck. I'd kind of leave it ambiguous Fox is really dead (they didn't find a body), but it's something Slippy's blamed himself for ever since. If he'd "just done a little more tuning up," he feels Fox would still be alive.

Anyway, out of nowhere, a warship attacks Slippy's house, and EVERYONE joins the fray. Even Slippy AND his boy hop into their own Arwings that he still had laying around and join the fight. Fay gives them ground support from the Landmaster, which she and Slippy worked on together during their visit. With the added edge that Marcus gives them, they're able to bring down the ship. After a little more arguing, Falco is convinced to let Marcus fly... BUT, he has to get some proper training at the Cornerian academy, first. So it looks like he and Slippy's boy are going there, together. Slippy repairs their ships and gear and throws in a bunch of spare parts while he's at it, saying there's little he could still teach Fay. And so, they bid farewell to Slippy and head to Corneria, and THIS is where the story would start to get crazy.

But I'll save that for the next journal. So yeah... if nothing else, I hope you guys are able to get some enjoyment out of this outline of what WOULD'VE happened, seeing as I just don't have the time to do all of this in comic form.

Continues here.
How Star Fox XYZ could've played out- CorneriaContinuing from this journal-

So after the battle on Aquas, we jump ahead a couple of months and see Marcus training on Corneria to become a better pilot. With his raw talent and determination to be in the skies, he basically plows through the entire program, and by the time we see him again, he's become a much more efficient pilot, though he still has a bit of a reckless streak, as seems natural for the McClouds.
Around this time, Falco enters an old bar he used to go to and meets an old buddy of his... and it's none other than Dash Bowman, disguised as a civilian. The two catch up, though unbeknownst to them, Katt is keeping an eye on them from outside, using thermal binoculars to spot their bodies via heat signature. It seems Katt really took Buffalo Cockatrice's warning to heart after chapter 4, and suspects Dash may be up to something terrible.
Meanwhile, in Sector Z, Eli is readying his ship for takeoff. When Leon gets curious, the eel just tells him thi
