I make comics. I also make some videos on the side.
For a long while, I've been almost exclusively focused on my art, which is fine and dandy because if I'm gonna make money off of anything someday, it's going to be my art, not adsense money from making youtube videos. Granted, the reason I haven't tried making money off my work so far is because, well, I'd go to jail because I feature properties that are not mine. These are FAN comics. That said, I do have one original idea that I want to try putting on the shelves someday, and all these other comics are practice I'm doing to improve myself until I feel that I'm finally ready to take the plunge.
But anyway, I've made my art a priority for a long time now, and it's going to stay that way..... on most days. See, between the hours it takes to draw new pages in the evening and the hours it takes to color them the next morning, I don't have that much time and energy left over for making videos.... not if I wanna spend any time stepping outside the house and having a life or anything like that... so there are many days where I put my video projects on the backburner because I'm already all spent from working on my art on that same day, and I just end up procrastinating because I can't do both of these things at the same time.
But I also don't want to spend too much time making videos because, well, my biggest priority is developing as an artist because that's my true calling. And by making 2 pages a day, I can finish twice as many stories in that much time. That's why I work so frantically on my art, to finish as many of my ideas as I possibly can in my time here. So yeah, I don't want to let my other projects get in the way of what matters most to me. But, even so, I need to set SOME time aside for videos and other such things. I think I've found a good compromise.
Here's what my schedule is going to be from now on. Monday-Friday, I will upload two pages per day on average, and on the weekends, I will edit videos. Ten pages a week doesn't sound so bad, right? On some days, I might whip up a 3rd page or upload something quick and simple on the weekends, or edit a video for a little bit on a week day just because, but overall, this is how I'm going to manage my time and work from now on. It'll be a good change of pace to keep me from feeling burnt out from constantly working on art, and I can get other things done each week.

Ready for commissions.
Hey, everyone. Sorry I haven't been too active lately. Truth is, I've been working on a TON of art, just haven't been uploading much of it here yet. Let's just say I could use the work at the moment. So if you're interested, I'd appreciate it. Current prices, keeping in mind it can take most of a day to finish one of these. Full body shot- $50 +$40 for each additional character +$40 for a background Comic book cover/page- $100 Feedback is appreciated.
New Lego Rewind just dropped!
This will probably be the last one of the year, depending on how things go. I have 3 Monkie Kid Megareviews to catch up on, and I can only spare so much time for videos. Pledging $5 to my Patreon page will get you the video a week early, and pledging $10 within the next 6 days will get your name added to the credits before it goes public. See you there.
Something special today!
Itch is having a "creator day" where creators like me get to keep 100% of what we make from sales (usually my cut is about 70%). If you were considering getting the Planet Ripple digitally through Itch instead of Kindle I would really appreciate it, especially today. https://nick-on-planet-ripple.itch.io/
Planet Ripple Volume 6 RELEASED!
Now you can get the print and kindle versions on Amazon, or get a PDF through Itch. Keep in mind, this is the longest book so far. The first was only 150 pages. This is about 190. Naturally, I had to raise the price a bit. Just two dollars, though. But remember! If you want a signed copy, you can upgrade your Patreon tier to $50. https://www.patreon.com/NickAnderson I went aaaallll out with this one. It's not the end of the series, more like a season 1 finale... But it is the end of some current arcs, the last book where the pirates are still the major threat to global stability. As for Minnow, she'll have to ask uncomfortable questions and reconcile things about herself, her trauma, and her world. Pulling no punches this time! Enjoy! Sounds like a pretty good arrangement.
